The Bob Masi Scholarship was created to help support families in need of financial assistance with soccer tuition fees. Bob Masi was a father of three former Seacoast United players who lost his battle with cancer several years ago. His sons Joe, Michael, and Eric all went on to captain their collegiate teams at Stonehill College, Bates College and the University of New Hampshire respectively.
This scholarship will help support eligible families within all of the Seacoast United Sports Club footprint with partial payment of their travel soccer club registration fees.
Families receiving these awards must remain up to date with their fees, must complete 10 hours of service with Seacoast United Sports Club at one or more of their events, or must complete 10 hours of volunteer service with the foundation throughout the 2018/19 Season. When all of those requirements are met, the scholarship will be applied to the athlete's account. You will not see this scholarship on your account until that time.
Applications for the 2018/19 Bob Masi Scholarship for the soccer club will be accepted until July 15, 2018. For the Maine Soccer Club - July 31, 2018. For the Baseball Club August 31, 2018.
Please be aware, decisions on awards will be made AFTER player registrations/deposit and first payment are due. This scholarship is intended to help with fees. It is not meant to fully pay club fees for any athlete.
Eligible applicants would be youth athletes competing at U18 or younger, registered to play for Seacoast United Sports Club, or a Recreation/Town/Travel Club team located in New Hampshire. Masi Scholarships are competitive, need-based scholarships meant to relieve some of the financial burden on families in order to support athletes in their physical, social, and community development.
